Obituary: Mirna-Mar Vanderheyden

Mirna-Mar Vanderheyden, 77, fell asleep in death on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at her home in Williams with family at her side. She was born on Oct. 8, 1932 to Frances (Miller) Van Brockin and Orville Van Brockin in Freeport, Ill. She married Roger Vanderheyden in 1951.

She was a paralegal for 45 years and was presented 13 awards for outstanding achievements in business and industry. However, she considered her greatest accomplishment her seven children, which she raised with Biblical principles.

She is survived by four children, Adana Vanderheyden of Long Pine, Neb., Grayling Vanderheyden of Flagstaff, Willow Vanderheyden of Washington and Tiffany Kay of Williams. Three children preceded her in death, Vanessa Layne, Vance Gaylord and Romayne Lee. Her six grandchildren were the loves of her life, Clover, Jabin, Aidan, Brenna, Brittain and Grayson. She has three great-grandchildren.

She will be missed more than words can express. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and her first priority in life was the worship of our Almighty Creator.

A memorial service was held at the Kingdom Hall in Williams on Saturday, April 10, 2010.
