The Lonely Hearts Club, an organization of high school girls who vow they are very lonely, held its weekly luncheon meeting Thursday at the Beacon Café. The young ladies contend their club is just like the Rotary Club, and when asked what they did at the meetings, one of them replied, "Oh, we just eat and act silly."

A local woman reports a substantial amount of groceries were stolen from her car yesterday between 4-4:30 p.m. while it was parked near Babbitts. She said she left the groceries and a package from the variety store on the front seat of the automobile, and was gone about 15 or 20 minutes. Upon return, the goods were gone.

Applications are now being accepted and examinations will be given to establish a register of eligibles for future clerk and carrier vacancies in the Williams Post Office. All applicants will be required to take a written examination designed to test aptitude. The test and completion of the forms will require approximately three hours.
