Taste Williams' best Oct. 10
Tickets are selling fast
WILLIAMS - Oct. 10 will be paradise for food, wine and beer lovers when the best of Williams is featured under one roof. The Second Annual Taste of Williams will be offered 5-9 p.m. at Doc Holliday's Steakhouse, 950 N. Grand Canyon Blvd.
"This is the biggest event of the year," said Sue Atkinson, events coordinator for the Williams-Grand Canyon Chamber of Commerce. "It's a chance to dress up, mingle and taste the best food in northern Arizona."
Seven restaurants, three wineries and Golden Eagle Distributors will offer their best while nine artists display their artwork. A limited number of tickets is available. The cost is $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Tickets are selling fast.
"Last year we sold out," Atkinson said. "We have 250 tickets available this year. We sold 250 tickets last year."

Celebrate town's heritage
Other events will be offered throughout the weekend of Oct. 9-12 as part of the Route 66 Cultural Heritage Days.
Oct. 9 kicks off the celebration with an "Opry Night" hosted by the Williams Habitat for Humanity and is held at the Bob Dean Rodeo Grounds. This fun family evening is filled with live music from local artists and the ever-popular cakewalk with dozens of homemade cakes and desserts to choose from.
Oct. 9-12, renowned Route 66 artist Michael Campanelli will be bringing his "Route 66 Photo Journal Exhibit" to the World Famous Sultana Theatre in downtown Williams. This free exhibit, "All of Route 66 - an eight day, eight state, cross country Photographic Journey Exhibit," will be on display Oct. 10. A classic car show will be held along Route 66 in downtown Williams.
