The Williams High School chapter of the National Honor Society celebrated National Character Counts Week Oct. 19-22 by a widespread student recognition program. By soliciting names from teachers of students who displayed the six pillars of character - Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship - the club had the names of 82 students. These students arrived at school Oct. 19, to find a pillar of character on their locker. NHS also provided brownies for the Character Counts students on Oct. 21.

The National Honor Society, sponsored by Mrs. Ann Wells, includes Ashley Bean, Guy Forbis, Angelina Howe, Erin McNelly, Samantha Scott, Michael Tanori, Michela Langston, and Kole Wiese. The club sells cookies very Thursday, donated by Safeway, to raise money for student recognition programs and a scholarship.
