Pack 140 Blue and Gold Banquet
Cub Scout Pack 140, chartered by the Community United Methodist Church, celebrated Scouting's 99th Birthday Feb. 24 with their Blue and Gold Banquet. All who attended the recent event enjoyed a dinner of pizza and salads. After dinner the winners of the cake contest were announced.
Michael McNelly took first place for the "Most Unique Cake" with his Pinewood Derby car design. First place for the "Most Colorful Cake" was awarded to Kamerin Minert, whose cake was decorated with sprinkles, red hots, and M&M's that spelled out "WEBELOS." The "Best Blue and Gold Theme" cake was captured by Aiden Jaime, with a cake decorated in blue with "140" in blue. Henri Saldain's cake earned "Most Decorative Cake with his action figure scene on the top of the cake.
After the cake awards were given, everyone enjoyed the cakes for dessert. They all tasted terrific. Next month's pack meeting will be the annual Pine Wood Derby. Any boy in first through fifth grade is welcome to join Pack 140. For more information on Cub Scouts, contact Steve and Vicki Andros at (928) 635-1420, or Billy and Judy Martin at (928) 635-1432.
