Shoulder repaving begins Monday on Interstate 40
WILLIAMS - The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) will begin a project to repave some of the shoulders on Interstate 40 between Flagstaff and Williams starting Monday. The project is scheduled to be completed in about three weeks. The work will include removal of a layer of the existing pavement and then replacing with new on both the east and west bound shoulders.
There will be traffic restrictions associated with this project, and ADOT will make every effort to minimize impacts to the traveling public. During asphalt removal and paving operations, motorists will experience lane restrictions and reduced speed. Work is scheduled during daylight hours, Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
ADOT asks drivers to watch for the construction equipment and traffic control in the work zone.
