Paving wraps up this week
Final paving for the South Entrance Road and bypass lane is expected to be done by the end of this week.
Paving and striping should be under way today over the entire roadway from just south of the park boundary up to the South Entrance Station.
Although there may be some traffic delays, Fann Contracting will be paving one lane at a time and will use flaggers to facilitate traffic flow throughout the area to minimize delays.
The bypass lane will also receive the final lift of pavement.
The bypass lane will continue to open only to construction traffic through mid-November, when the Hermit Road Project is completed. It is expected to open to employees and residents until sometime in January, after transponders have been issued to all eligible users.
