Williams 911: Wednesday Nov. 26, 2008

(Editor's note - While this police log reports Williams Police Department arrests and citations, a person is not guilty until convicted in a court of law.)

• Officers took a report of a delayed non-injury accident on Route 66.

• Officers stopped a vehicle on Sheridan and found the driver was driving with a suspended driver's license. The driver was arrested and the vehicle was impounded for a mandatory 30 days.

• Offices investigated the death of an elderly male at a hotel. The victim had a heart attack.

• Officers responded to a bar in reference to a fight. Officers found a male victim severely injured that had to be transported to Flagstaff Medical Center. The suspects have been identified.

• Officers responded to Grant in reference to a fight. A female was arrested for disorderly conduct.

• Officers arrested a male with a felony warrant on Fifth Street.

• Officers dealt with a mental health issue on Fourth Street.

• Officers responded to a gas station in reference to a burglary. Officers found that suspects broke out a back window entered the business and made off with cash, which was mostly change. A crime scene investigator recovered several good footprint impressions and several good fingerprints.

• Officers dealt with an incorrigible juvenile issue on Grant.

• Officers responded to a restaurant in reference to juveniles who stole a bag of candy from the Santa Claus that sits outside the business.

• Officers assisted a citizen with food and shelter on Grand Canyon Boulevard.

• Officers and animal control captured a dog on Homestead.

• Officers responded to Slagel in reference to a male screaming. Officers found a juvenile highly intoxicated. Officers tried to calm the juvenile and the juvenile kicked an officer in the face. The juvenile was booked for aggravated assault and minor consumption.

• Officers issued seven citations and gave out nine warnings.
