Mrs. Miles Polson, who is slated to join the force of the local Safeway store, arrived home early Sunday from Phoenix, where she attended Safeway school for a week. It seems a real twister hit the area a few miles west of Ash Fork. Residents state the twister cut a swath about 500 yards wide, ripping power poles from the ground, pitching old car bodies around and uprooting cedar trees. That's unusual for this part of the country. It's a little frightening when it happens so close to home.
