Obituary: Theodore E. 'Ted' Iverson
Theodore E. "Ted" Iverson, 61, of Kirbyville, Mo., and formerly of Chetek, Wisc., died Thursday, April 17, 2008.
Ted was born May 2, 1946, in Chippewa Falls, Wisc., to Theodore and Phyllis Bernice Henning Iverson. He graduated from Chetek High School.
He served his country in the United States Army and the National Guard during the Vietnam War. Ted owned and operated his own company.
He was a finish carpenter and a jack of all trades. He lived in the Hudson area before moving to Grand Canyon, and then to the Kirbyville, Mo., area about three years ago. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Branson, Mo.
Ted married Rebecca Ann Masters on Aug. 31, 1988, in Grand Canyon. This past summer, they celebrated 19 years together.
He is survived by his loving wife, Becky; two sons, Tracy (Shannen) Iverson, of Somerset, and Ted Iverson, of Kirbyville, Mo.; two daughters, Anitra Iverson, of Hudson, and Christina Iverson, of Kirbyville, Mo.; one brother, James (Sherry) Iverson, of Cornwell; four sisters, June (Dan) Venske, of Midland, Texas, Joyce (Dwayne) Tidline, of Menomonie, Carol (Bill) Martin, of Glendale, Ariz., and Rose Hewitt, of Racine; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home in Branson, Mo., with the Rev. Melvin Hatten officiating.
Burial was in the Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery in Branson, Mo. Military honors will be by the Korean War Veterans Association, Harry S. Truman Chapter 5.
