The crew from “Good Morning Arizona” will be in town tomorrow for an on-air broadcast of their popular morning show.

KTVK-TV's highly rated morning show; "Good Morning Arizona" will come to Williams tomorrow for its annual Road Trip production. Crews with the popular morning news show will stop at the Grand Canyon Railway Depot on this year's statewide tour for their morning broadcast. The stop will mark Good Morning Arizona's third year for the annual road trip segment. This year, crews will travel to Sedona, Crown King, Prescott Valley, Page, Payson, Flagstaff and the Navajo Nation among other locations. They will film in Williams from 5-9 a.m.

A number of the show's on-air personalities are expected to be in town for the filming, including Tara Hitchcock, Brad Perry, Dan Davis and Scott Pasmore. Williams residents are encouraged to participate in the live show between the hours of 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. KTVK television personalities will autograph souvenir postcards. The first 200 people that show up will be rewarded with a special road trip bandana, according to Denise DeWitt, KTVK-TV's special projects manager.

"We are bringing our entire morning show on the road," DeWitt said. "We'll have multiple cameras. It's really quite a complicated setup. We love talking to people in the audience, finding out what makes Williams such a great place to be."

The annual road trip, she said, also helps draw people from the Phoenix area to other locations throughout the state when they see it on the show. The morning show will film primarily at the depot building, though a camera crew will also be out on Route 66 interviewing personalities from the Williams area. Around 30 students from the Williams Elementary-Middle School will be on hand for the event as well. According to DeWitt, news crews will be quite visible in town tomorrow morning.

"We take a crew of about 20 people," DeWitt said. "We make quite a caravan."

Members of the notorious Wild, Wild Wimmin of Williams are also scheduled for an appearance on Channel 3 as well. Good Morning Arizona's Brad Perry will interview members of the calendar girls group tomorrow morning in front of the Colors of the West at 8:45 a.m. Carol DeLander, spokesperson for the Wild Wimmin, said the group is quite proud of the support they have received from both the community and the media. The women posed, sans clothing, for a 2008 calendar that benefited the Williams Relay for Life organization.

"We have been a little surprised at the media attention we have received and continue to receive," DeLander said. "We're very grateful for all the sales the media attention has created. It's great for Channel 3 to bring their morning show to Williams. It's bound to bring our community the attention it deserves. The last time they were here it was for the Polar Express, but I doubt Brad Perry will recognize me, because I was Mrs. Claus that time. This is quite different!"

While the calendar has been hugely popular, DeLander said there are no plans for a future calendar.

"Even though we have been extremely successful with the sale of this calendar, we have no plans to do a sequel," she said. "It was just a one time thing in honor of our 10th Relay for Life."
