St. John's Episcopal-Lutheran Church

The Lenten Season is coming to a close with Palm Sunday ahead.

As we follow Christ through the next two weeks, may we remember what He sacrificed for us. We need to ask ourselves, what have we done for Him in our daily lives, in our community, in our world?

Palm Sunday service will be at 10:30 a.m. March 16. The book study groups will meet at 9 a.m.

Services for Holy Week are as follows:

• Maundy Thursday, 6 p.m. service.

• Good Friday, two services - a meditation service at noon and a worship service at 6 p.m.

Community United Methodist Church

"So what's more important, what we put on or what we take in?" Food for thought! Scripture was read from Colossians 2:16-23 on the fifth Sunday in Lent. Easter is fast approaching! There are many dates to remember.

On Monday, March 17 at 5:30 p.m., a St. Patrick's Day Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner will be served. You can buy tickets ahead or buy at the door. The cost is $5 for adults, children ages 4-10 eat for $2.50 and children age 3 and under eat free.

A SIS meeting will be held at 6 p.m. March 19. At 7 p.m. a Bible study featuring "Bad Girls of the Bible" begins. On Thursday, March 20, a Maundy (Holy) Thursday service will be held. On Good Friday, March 21 at 7 p.m., the film "The Passion of the Chirst" will be shown at the parsonage.

On Saturday, March 22 at 10:30 a.m., children can dye eggs and catch an Easter story. At 6 a.m. Sunday, March 23 at Young Life Camp, an Easter sunrise service will be held. At 8:30 a.m., the annual youth pancake breakfast willl be held in the Social Hall with an egg hunt following.

On Sunday, March 30, children in kindergarten through eighth grade are welcome to attend the Young Disciples Church (same time as regular worship). This will combine Sunday school and worship for our young people.

Weekly events include:

• Tuesday - 1 p.m. Not-Sew-Perfect Quilters.

• Saturday - 7 a.m. Men's Ministry breakfast.

• Sunday - 8:45 a.m., Sunday school, all ages; 9:45 a.m., child care (0-5 years of age); and 10 a.m., worship.

St. Joseph Catholic Church

On Saturday, March 15, confessions in Spanish and English will be offered at 4 p.m. An English Mass begins at 5:30 p.m. A Spanish Mass begins at 7 p.m.

On Sunday, March 16, an English Mass and Blessing of Palms will be held at 8 a.m. in Williams. At 10 a.m. a bilingual Mass and Blessing of Palms will be held in Ash Fork. An English Mass and Blessing of Palms begins at noon in Seligman.

On Holy Monday, March 17, no Mass will be held in Williams. A Chrism Mass in Sts. Simon and Jude Cathedral begins at 7 p.m. in Phoenix.

On Holy Tuesday, March 18, English Mass begins at 9 a.m. On Holy Wednesday March 19, confessions will begin at 11 a.m. in Seligman and an English Mass will follow at noon.

Legion of Mary meets on Tuesdays following the 9 a.m. Mass.

Knights of Columbus meet at 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month.

Mass is held at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. (Spanish) on Saturday and 8 a.m. on Sunday. Confessions are offered from 4-5 p.m. on Saturday.

Family Harvest Church

Family Harvest Church invites all teens ages 10-19 to attend the Teen Rally at 7 p.m. Friday at the church. The Teen Rally continues every Friday.

Family Harvest Church would like to invite you to Sunday service at 10:30 a.m. Kids church (10 and under) and nursery will be provided.

Sunday evening service starts at 6 p.m. Join us at

6 p.m. Monday for ladies' prayer meeting. Men's prayer meeting is held at 6 p.m. Tuesday. At

6 p.m. Thursday nights, join us for adult Bible study, youth and children's program.

• Tuesday - Theocratic Ministry School, 7:30 p.m. John 6:45; service meeting,

• Friday - Congregation Book Study is at 9:30 a.m.

All meetings are held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 5495 N. Sunset Strip, and are open to the public.
