Cruisin' reunion to be held in Williams
Reunion will feature classes of 1970-1975
Class reunions in Williams are about to get the high profile treatment, thanks to organizers of this year's Williams High School (WHS) Cruisin' Reunion, to be held at various Williams locations June 27-28. Students in the classes of 1970 through 1975 will be a part of this year's large reunion celebration.
Events will include a number of fun activities, including a classic car show and a poker run at Rosa's Cantina June 27 from 1-7 p.m.
The evening of June 27 may also include a no-host mixer, according to event organizers. The classes of 1970-71 are tentatively scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. at Cruiser's Café along Route 66. The class of 1972 is scheduled to meet at the Sultana Steakhouse at 7 p.m. while the class of 1973 will meet at Rosa's Cantina at 7 p.m. Classes from 1974-75 are scheduled to meet at Pancho McGillicuddy's at 7 p.m. A dance at the Sultana Bar is scheduled to follow the mixers beginning at 9 p.m.
The classic car show and poker run is set to continue on the following day, June 28, though other events planned for the reunion include a golf tournament at Elephant Rocks Golf Course beginning at 8 a.m. and a class barbecue at the Williams High School football field. A number of awards will be distributed during the barbecue, according to organizers, including class awards, a WHS Tour award, and car and golf awards. The event will come to an end June 28 with a street dance outside of the Sultana Bar beginning at 9 p.m.
Registration fees include $20 per person for the reunion, $20 for the car show, $80 for the golf tournament and $5 for the class barbecue.
