City dog licenses available now
Get a jump on the new year by purchasing your 2009 city of Williams dog license now. Licenses can be purchased at City Hall, 113 S. First St. or the Williams Police Department, 501 W. Route 66.
Licenses are $10 each if the dog is spayed or neutered and $20 for unaltered dogs. To purchase a license, you must provide proof of current rabies vaccination. All dogs living within the Williams city limits must be licensed.
Cat licenses are also offered for $5 each and do not expire. To be licensed, cats must be spayed or neutered and must have current rabies vaccination.
The Williams Animal Action Group's services will not be offered until March 15. In the meantime, rabies vaccinations for dogs can be obtained through Second Chance (526-5964), Plateauland Mobile Clinic (526-5964), Humane Society (526-1076) or the Coconino County Health Department (226-2717).
Reduced cost spay and neuter services can be obtained by calling Flagpal Planned Pethood (526-3415), Animal Defense League - feral cats only - (773-8028), Humane Society (526-1076) or Second Chance (526-5964).
WAAG will offer a pet vaccination clinic 12-3 p.m. April 4 at the Rodeo Barn.
