The justice court and the municipal court had a rather lucrative weekend as a mild wave of encroachments of highway regulations and good behavior seemed to sweep this section. Judge "Spike" Way had seven speeders call upon him and 10 bad behaviors (drunks and fighters) as a result of weekend celebrating. He assessed the offenders sums ranging from $10 to $25 for making his acquaintance. To relieve the monotony he had four reckless driving cases and one good fight case to handle.

Kaibab Estates, a tract of land just northeast of the city limits and north of the Santa Fe railroad tracks, has been sold by Harvey Gibbs to the Western Development Company of Phoenix. The new purchaser plans to develop the land with the construction of FHA approved homes in the $11,500 and under price bracket. The homes, or lots to build, may be bought by individuals.

The Williams Municipal Swimming Pool will close this Saturday for the season, according to pool manager Everett Wamble. To close out the season, a pool party and dance will be held Friday evening at the pool. The party will be held 7-10 p.m. with admission prices of 15 cents.
