Sept. 24, 1942
Mrs. Eddie Weigle was host to the Business Girl's Club at a delightful Monday evening Dessert Bridge. Mrs. Weigle's guests were Vera Johnson, Maureen Edel, Carol Jones, Vivian Walker, Dorothy LeGate, Margaret Bennett and Thelma Hamner. Mrs. Johnson was high and Mrs. Jones second high.

Sept. 26, 1957
A party of Williams anglers hit ideal conditions for a weekend of fishing at Lake Mead and, as a result, recorded a record catch. The party, made up of Gordon McDowell, Rod Graves, Tim McGrath, Marion Blevins, Jerry Duffield, and Ruel Allen, went to Temple Bar Thursday afternoon and boarded the McDowell-Graves cabin cruiser. Every member of the party succeeded in taking a sufficient number of the Lake Mead bass to decorate the frying pans and take home the limit.

Sept. 28, 1972
A number of Williams High School students are participating in a federally funded State Cooperative Education program whereby the student learns a vocation or trade by working for a local during school hours. Under the direction locally of Bill Gollihare, there are at present eight or ten students actively participating in the program by taking employment in a downtown business enterprise.
