Jesse Hasteen Buchmoyer

Jesse Hasteen Buchmoyer, 21, a Williams resident for the past 12 years, died on Monday, Sept. 10, 2007.

Jesse was born to Deborah Elaine Buchmoyer in Flagstaff. He loved his family and friends with all of his heart. Jesse inspired many with his talent in music and art.

Friends were quoted as saying, "He changed my whole life, opened my eyes musically, spiritually and culturally. For that I will always be thankful."

Another said, "He had such a positive attitude and always brought happiness and good times to everyone."

Jesse left to mourn his mother Deborah; brothers Josh and AJ; and a cousin and aunt in San Diego, as well as many friends.

He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Services were held at First Baptist Church of Williams. Visitation was from 12-2 p.m. on Monday, Sept, 17, 2007. Funeral services followed.

Matthew

Ross Dent

Matthew Ross Dent, 20, of Williams, passed into God's arms on Monday, Sept. 10, 2007. He was born on June 18, 1987 in Amarillo, Texas and lived his whole life in Williams.

Matthew was an outstanding athlete in youth sports throughout his childhood, and at Williams High School where he excelled at football, basketball and baseball. In 2005 he pitched a perfect game for the Vikings. He attended community colleges in Thatcher and Prescott. He was currently working as a flooring installer.

He is survived by his loving parents, David and Bonnie Dent, sister Amber (Elias) Dent Antonio, niece Katia Mendoza and nephew Michael Mendoza, all of Williams. Matthew is also survived by his grandfather Vernon Heaton of Quincy, Ill. and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Also mourning his death are the Gillispie and Mitchell families of Dalhart, Texas, his work partner Sam Nazario, and church families at St. John's Episcopal/Lutheran Church and First Baptist Church of Williams.

Matthew was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jack and Jacie Dent, and maternal grandmother Pearl Heaton.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007 at 2 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal/Lutheran Church, 202 W. Grant Ave., in Williams. In lieu of flowers, contributions would be greatly appreciated for the Dent Scholarship of the Williams Viking Booster Club, P.O. Box 427, Williams, AZ 86046.

Elena Rivera

Elena Rivera, 15, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2007.

She was born March 25, 1992 in Flagstaff to Gloria Rodriguez and Joe Rivera.

Elena loved listening to music, dancing and hanging out with friends.

She is survived by her parents Gloria Rodriguez and Joe Rivera; sister Vanessa Rivera; brothers Isaiah and Malachi Greer; and grandparents Carlos and Teresa Rodriguez and Pablo and Mary Martinez.

Visitation was at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, 2007 at the First Baptist Church, 629 W. Grant Ave. in Williams. Funeral Services began at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007 at First Baptist Church in Williams.
