Six employees of the local Safeway store went to Flagstaff last Wednesday evening for a meeting of the Flagstaff and Williams employees with the district supervisor from the Phoenix office. Those representing the Williams store were W.J. Michael, the manager, Mrs. A.G. Wilson, Mrs. Brice Balliar, Mrs. Edna Grevelius, O.L. Borger and Paul Pettigo.

Contrary to prevalent rumors, Rod's Steak House has not been sold. The popular eating-place on East Bill Williams Avenue has been operated by Rodney Graves for the past 11 years and Mr. Graves wishes the "sold" stories squelched.

October 5, 1972
Bill Wilkinson Ford will be holding an open house this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 6-7, to give townspeople an opportunity to see a preview of the 1973 cars. Hours will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days and refreshments will be served.
