Grant applications for community fund available Saturday

Applications due by Jan. 15

The Greater Williams Community Fund (GWCF) is seeking grant applications for 2007. The GWCF Steering Committee will be granting to local non-profits more than $5,000 this year. Applications are due by 4 p.m. Jan. 15.

This is an annual competitive funding process for nonprofit organizations serving the greater Williams Area. Areas eligible for consideration but not limited to, include the communities of Williams, Parks, Ash Fork and Valle.

Applicants must possess a current 501(c)(3) tax exemption from the IRS, or qualify as a municipality, public school or tribe.

The GWCF is affiliated with the Arizona Community Foundation (ACF), one of the largest philanthropic organizations in Arizona and among the top 30 community foundations nationally. ACF funds enjoy centralized financial management, marketing and administrative resources provided by ACF, allowing local volunteers to focus on community needs.
