Charley Wade, Jim Kennedy and George Larson made a trip last week to the Squaw Peak Mine, some 20 miles south of Jerome. They report a good deal of activity there, brought on by the increased war time price of copper.

Jan. 24, 1957
At long last, the Williams Ski Run has enough snow for the operation of the ski tow. The tow will run Saturday and Sunday. The snow depth is not much but sufficient for skiing the lower part of the run. Chains are advised, for the last two miles of the road have not been plowed.

Jan. 20, 1972
Boy Scouts of America, Troop 29, held Court of Honor Monday evening. Boys receiving Tenderfoot badges included Marty Cole, Walter Simmons, Billy Hatcher, Tracy Ikard, Guy Willis, Brian Olson, Manuel Grey, Terry Barns, John McNelly, Mike Brockett and Jim Brown.
Scouts receiving certificates and patches for special duty at Court of Honor included Tom Brown, Don Davis, Larry Thomas, Tracy Ikard, Jim Brown, Everett Wamble, Lynn Adams, Steve Watson and Cary Southworth. Scoutmaster Charles Trott presented the awards.
