Christopher Lee Martin
Member of Grand Canyon Class of 1991
Christopher Lee Martin, 34, suffered heart failure and passed away in his sleep in his Odessa, Texas, home on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007.
He was born on July 14, 1972, in Andrews, Texas, and was a 1991 graduate of Grand Canyon High School. He had numerous jobs in the Grand Canyon and Tusayan area and was most recently employed as a long-haul truck driver for Eddy Merket. He loved his job and wanted his ashes scattered on the roadways that he drove. Those who knew him will remember that he always spoke his mind.
Survivors include his parents Randle and Laurette Kennedy of Valle; his brother Ronnie Kennedy (currently serving in Iraq), sister in law JonnaFay Kennedy and nephew Ryan Kennedy of Fayetteville, N.C. (Fort Bragg); grandparents Ross and Bonnie Kennedy of Tatum, N.M., and Laurel Adair of Andrews, Texas; great grandparent Verneece Ballew of Tucumcan, N.M. and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
