Kids join Toys for Tots walk
Grand Canyon students will be taking part in the first annual one-mile Trots for Tots this Sunday in Flagstaff. The school will provide a bus to the event.
The Trots for Tots is part of the second annual Perotsystems High Country Challenge Toys for Tots Extreme Fun Extravaganza. The non-competitive walk begins and ends at Wheeler Park, with a special prize awarded to all finishers. The walk begins at 9 a.m. and is free for youngsters up to age 13.
The event also offers 5 and 10K races, which start at 10 a.m. Prizes are awarded to the top three men and women in eight age groups. Check-in is 8 a.m.
Those competing in the race can register online at www.active.com/event_detail.cfm? The entry fee for the races is $20. Proceeds benefit Toys for Tots.

Music Together classes starting
All children are musical! Music Together classes are a fun way to help your child develop to his/her full musical potential.
Children ages birth through five and their parents/caregivers experience songs, instrument play, and movement activities in a relaxed, playful setting with no performance pressure.
Participants also receive a songbook, parent guide booklet, semi-annual newsletter, and two professionally recorded CDs for more family fun at home.
Fall semester classes run for eight weeks, mid-September through early November. Evening and daytime classes are available. Each semester features a new collection of songs and activities.
Late registrations are now being accepted for the fall semester. Scholarships are available for those who can't afford tuition. To register or get more information, call SuZan Pearce at 638-2232.
