• The first step in a plan to make the public library grounds attractive is now under way in a yard fence and sidewalk project, which is made possible through an allotment from the Governor B. B. Moeur's special relief fund.

The project includes a general cleanup of the entire grounds, the construction of a native stone fence, replacing the present fence and construction of a walk from the street to the entrance and around the side of the building. The walk is to be constructed of Coconino sandstone.

• Local residents, especially those living in the hilly areas around Williams, reported this morning that they felt the vibration from the earthquake that took place Wednesday evening at 7:02 in the San Francisco Peaks area. The tremors lasted from three to four minutes, according to residents who felt it and gave them a rocky, unstable sensation.

The local radio station reported that they received around 30 calls from townspeople inquiring about what had happened shortly after the quake was felt here.
