The city has decided to again lead out in the Yule decorating program by decorating the huge tree at the south end of Second Street.
This will be the third consecutive year the tree has been decorated with the second year's decorations much more effective than the first and there is little cause to feel that when the light department completes this year's task that it will not excel in brilliancy and beauty that of last year.
In addition to the Christmas tree the city will carry out its usual program of decorating the downtown lampposts and streetlights.

The controversial subject of hypnotism was presented to an audience of more than 200 Monday evening at the new high school gym in a two hour program by Jerry Buckley, professional hypnotist of Hollywood, Calif.
The program, sponsored by the Williams Lions Club in a hospital fund-raising project, touched both the serious side of the subject as well as the humorous side. The Lions made over $100 for the hospital building fund with the program and felt that if it had not been so close to Christmas the turnout would have been about twice as large.

Three retired Santa Fe employees, Gil Corona, Ben Miranda and Joe Sanchez stayed with tradition this year and cut a Christmas tree for Arizona's governor. For good measure they also brought in a tree for Senator Paul Fannin.
For more than 20 years Miranda and Corona have sent a tree to Arizona's governor each Christmas. Getting the Trees was a bit of a task this time. The trio slugged through snow, sometimes nearly waist deep on Bill Williams Mountain, to reach "just the right trees" for Williams and Fannin. Jack Munns, local civil defense director and a postal service employee, delivered the trees in Phoenix, Wednesday.
