James C. Alexander III
James C. Alexander, 67, of Williams, died Dec. 5, 2006 in Flagstaff.
He was born on Sept. 4, 1939 to James C. Alexander and Eudene Howard in Las Cruces, N.M.
James served in the Navy and was a police officer for the Livermore Police Department in California. He was a naval air controller. He also worked as a milkman and hot air balloonist. Most recently, he worked as manager of Canyon Gateway RV Park.
He is survived by his dog, Brutus, of Williams; three daughters, Naia Kayleen Finch of Kawaii Hawaii, Jeanine Marie Acia of Volcano, Hawaii and Lynda Michele Brandt of Livermore, Calif.; one son, James Chandler Alexander of Flagstaff; and his co-workers and friends in Williams.

Thelma Marsh Jackson
Thelma Marsh Jackson died peacefully in Tucson on Dec. 7, 2006.
Thelma was born Aug. 17, 1909 in Spur, Texas. She was the daughter of Aggie and J.A. Marsh and grew up in Spur with her five brothers and sisters. After attending Hardin-Simmons University, she returned to the Spur area to teach grades 1-8 in a one-room schoolhouse.
After her marriage to Melvin Jackson, Thelma returned to college at Texas Tech in Lubbock. After moving to Phoenix in 1940, Thelma worked for a car dealership as their accountant.
In 1952 she and her sons relocated to Williams where she lived for the next 50 years. During her time in Williams, Thelma was very active with the First Southern Baptist Church of Williams, serving as treasurer for many years and teaching Sunday school for both children and adults. She worked as an accountant for various car dealerships before accepting a position with Olson Motors where she remained until retiring in her late 70's.
Thelma was active in the BPW group and volunteered in the elementary school library. She enjoyed visiting her children and grandchildren in Tucson, Reno and College Park, Md. She and her sister, Johnnye, enjoyed traveling together. Thelma moved to Tucson after breaking her hip in late 2004 and lived there until her death.
She is survived by her youngest sister, Mary Barker; her sons, Charles (Ann), Robert (Maxine) and Ray; five grandsons; two granddaughters; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in Williams in the spring. The family wishes to thank the staff of Handmaker Jewish Services, Rich Unit, for their kind and loving care of Thelma. The family also thanks Casa de la Luce Hospice for making her last days comfortable and peaceful.
