Juan Robert Sandoval

Juan Robert Sandoval, 71, died at Flagstaff Medical Center in Flagstaff on Tuesday, April 4, 2006.

Mr. Sandoval was born Jan. 24, 1935 in Ash Fork to the late Juan and Lucy Sandoval. He attended Williams Grade School and graduated from Williams High School in 1952. He served in the United States Navy, receiving an honorable discharge.

Mr. Sandoval is survived by his daughter, Lucy (Joe) Ferris, Eden Prairie, Minn. along with his grandchildren Caitlin, Clancy, Jakob and Jackson; three brothers, Alex (Vina) Sandoval, Ernest Sandoval, of Grants N.M., and Benjamin (Jacie) Sandoval of Albuquerque, N.M.; and one sister, Dolly Archer, of Tucson. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Samuel and Albert.

A Rosary was held on Friday, April 7, 2006 at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Williams.  A Memorial Mass and burial was held on Saturday, April 8 at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Billy Kosco, Pastor, officiated.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Joseph's Catholic Church in his name.

Arrangements are under the direction of Norvel Owens Mortuary.

Margaret L. Pozas

Margaret L. Pozas, 94, of Williams, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home, on Tuesday, April 4, 2006.

Margaret was born on June 27, 1911, in Williams, to the parents of Diego and Alexandra Lavin. Margaret met Henry T. Pozas as a young girl, when he and his brother moved to Williams, from Santander, Spain, as young boys, to work at Saginaw and Manistee Lumber Company. Henry and his brother moved into Margaret's parent's boarding house. Henry and Margaret were married on May 11, 1929. They were lifelong and respected residents of Williams and owned several rental properties. This was to continue in the foot steps that Margaret's parents had begun. They were members of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, in Williams.

She was preceded in death by her parents Diego and Alexandra Lavin; husband Henry T. Pozas; oldest daughter Angie Jaime; two sisters, Mary Mier, and Bessie Pelletier; and one great-grandchild Casey Pozas.

Survivors include her son Ret. Lt. Colonel Henry Pozas and wife (Kay) of Glendale; daughters Marie Cardenas and husband (Jesus) of Williams and Tammy Pedersen and husband (Larry) of Ft. Worth, Texas; seven grandchildren, Linda Lopez, David Pozas and wife (Teresa), Kevin Pozas and wife (Sally), Teresa Curet and husband (Ismael), Barak Pozas, Lyndi and Craig Pedersen; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A memorial Mass and burial was held on Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 900 W. Grant Ave., Williams. Father William (Billy) Kosco officiated.

We, the family, wish to express our gratitude for the loving care given to Margaret by the staff of Northland Hospice in Flagstaff. You were truly a blessing to our family.

Andrew David Garlock

David and JoAnne Garlock announce the birth and death of their special angel, Andrew David, on April 4, 2006. He was with us long enough to touch our hearts and never to be forgotten. He will be greatly missed by his big sister Christina, Grandma Colleen, Grandpa Keith and all his aunts, uncles and cousins.
