Obituary
Sallie Walker-Clay
Sallie Walker-Clay died Sept. 5, 2005 at 410 W. Meade Ave., in Williams.
She was born July 6, 1913 to Felix and Lula Brooks, in Springhill, La; she was one of 16 children.
In 1939 she married William Lee Walker in Louisiana. He passed away in 1985. She then met and married Joe Clay in 1985 in Prescott.
Sallie was a long time resident of Williams and a beloved member of the community. She moved to Williams from Flagstaff where she lived for a short time.
She was a member of the Galilee Baptist Church in Williams and a member of the Williams Senior Center.
She enjoyed knitting, fishing, and Bible studies.
Sallie is survived by her son, Howard Lee Walker; brother, Peter Brooks of Castro, La; a sister; Merdis Brooks, of Castro, La.; nine grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband William Walker; her second husband, Joe Clay; and sons Woodrow Davis and Cornelius Walker.
No formal services will be held.
