Family expresses thanks for support
To the editor:
The wife and children of James Cushman would like to say thank you to the First Baptist Church and the ladies at the Red Lake Store — Krissy, Lynda and Leslie — for their prayers and calls. Thanks for the help to get money together so I could get our motor home and our three dogs back to Arizona to start our lives again.
I also would like to thank Barbara Wilson with Neighbors helping Neighbors for all of her help. And the two people that have been there for the kids and me are Ray and Wendy Wilson. You two have been there for us before Jim’s death and you two were our lifeline after his passing.
Thanks again, everyone. You all will be in our prayers and in our hearts.
Carol, Dustin and Emily Cushman

Student seeks area information
To the editor:
I am a fifth grade student in California. My class is studying the United States. We will be writing a state report, and I have chosen your state to research.
I am writing in hopes that you will publish my letter for citizens in your area to read. I am interested in learning about the following information: what can you tell me about the history of Arizona? Who are some famous people from your state? What is the geography like in Arizona? Where are some tourists’ attractions to visit in Arizona? Do you have a recipe symbolic of Arizona? If so, please send a copy of the recipe.
I would appreciate any other information you think might help me with my research. Please send information, pictures, recipes and/or memorabilia to the following address: Travis Palmer, c/o O’Neill Elementary School, 24701 San Doval Lane, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
