Tigers nip Astros in all-Williams championship game<br>
A strong pitching performance by Trevor Parenteau and improved defense by the rest of the team helped the Williams Tigers down the Williams Astros, 4-3, in the Little League Majors championship game Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers had gone through the tournament unbeaten heading into Saturday’s action, including a 5-3 win over the Astros on Wednesday. Therefore, the Astros would need to beat the Tigers in back-to-back games to take the title.
The Astros nearly pulled off that feat. The team coached by Tiger Grantham which features a lot of 9- and 10-year-olds, whipped the Tigers in the early game, 11-1.
