Williams Wild Rodeo Show rides this weekend
The Williams Wild Rodeo Show, one in a series of four, will make its’ debut in Williams Friday and Saturday at the Bob Dean Rodeo Grounds. The rodeo will begin nightly at 8 p.m.
Two additional shows will be staged Aug. 8-9 with more shows following two weekends in September. The rodeo is being coordinated by the 7 J Rodeo Company of Prescott. The company plans to offer shows in Williams for the next five years, said Brandon Johnson of the 7 J Rodeo Company.
Johnson worked closely with Williams’ resident Bob Dean in coordinating the event. The company hopes the rodeo will make Williams a tourist destination, said Johnson.
“Perhaps people won’t leave when they get off the train and they will stay to watch the show. This is an activity an entire family can attend for very little money,” he said.
Tickets can be purchased at the gate for $7 per person. There is no charge for children under the age of five. The concession stand will be open and snack foods will be available for purchase.
The show will include bronco and bull riding, barrel racing and roping events.
“We are going to start with the activities the fans like best,” said Johnson.
