KNF opens five campgrounds
Kaibab Lake, Dogtown Lake, Cataract Lake, White Horse Lake and Ten-X Campgrounds — all popular spots on the Kaibab National Forest for those looking to get out of the heat — have opened with full services.
Kaibab Lake and White Horse Lake Campgrounds will be charging $12 per vehicle per night and Dogtown Lake, Cataract Lake, and Ten-X Campgrounds will be charging $10 per vehicle per night.
Reservations for the group areas at Kaibab Lake, Dogtown Lake, and White Horse Lake campgrounds can be made by calling Southwest Recreation at 928-699-1239.
Reservations for the group area at Ten-X Campground are not being taken at this time as the Charley Tank Group Area is under renovation. Individual (family) sites are available on a first come first served basis only.

Luau — Friday at aquatic center
Dig out a great Hawaiian outfit and plan to attend Luau night 8-11 p.m. Friday at Williams Aquatic Center. Admission to this event, open to ages 14 and older, is $2. Activities include games, music and prizes. Refreshments will be served.
Art, fashion show planned for May
Peak Confections, 221 W. Railroad Ave., is holding a "Spring in Your Step" art and fashion show 1-2:30 p.m. May 18.
