June Walker Van Sickle
June Walker Van Sickle, 66, formerly a longtime Williams resident, died April 12, 2001 in Payson.
She was born June 2, 1934 in Mountain View, Okla., the daughter of Daisy and Mack Walker, also longtime Williams residents.
Mrs. Van Sickle was a Williams High School graduate. She retired from Arizona State University as an office manager and had most recently lived a number of years in the Payson area. Mrs. Van Sickle was a Lady Elk and a member of the Moose Lodge. She was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed fishing at Roosevelt Lake. Her hobbies included needlepoint, reading and crocheting. In recent years, she enjoyed traveling in her RV.
Survivors include a son, Brent Rincon and his wife, Maryjane of Tempe; a daughter, Jalonda Harvick of Page; three brothers, Don Walker of Page, Dean Walker and his wife, Gayle, of Mountain View, Okla., and Jim Walker and his wife, Cokie, of Williams; two sisters, Pat Schulz and her husband, Bud, of Bay City, Texas and Melba Gilette of Chino Valley; and four grandchildren, Chas Harvick of Phoenix, Charyse Harvick of Flagstaff and Maren Rincon and Madison Rincon, both of Tempe.
On April 1, 2001, many family and friends gathered at June’s home for a celebration of her life.
The family would like to thank the staff of Payson Hospice for their care and compassion.
