Zona Mae Campbell

Zona Mae Campbell, 77, of Williams died Nov. 17, 2000 in Williams. She was born May 4, 1923 in Phoenix to Alma and Viola Jones and was a Williams resident for the past 20 years.

Mrs. Campbell was a homemaker and raised a wonderful family.

Survivors include her husband, Gene; three daughters, Susan Bowdon of Prescott, Mary C. Barbee of Williams and Patricia Jo "PJ" Meade also of Williams; a sister, Virginia Dumas of Arcata, Calif.; brother Bob Jones, of Phoenix; 11 grandchildren, Brenda Fry of Phoenix, Thomas Troy Bowdon III of Prescott, Tracey Lee Adcock of Prescott Valley, Tyler Cole Bowdon of Prescott, Berry Christopher Barbee and Levi Matthew Barbee both of Williams, Jennifer Carol Campbell of Ash Fork, Rochelle Marie Meade of Tempe, Kelsey Richard Meade, Wes Justin James and Lea Tess Docherty all of Williams, as well as four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Carol Docherty; grandson Darren Cole James; and son Eugene Colin Campbell III.

Graveside services were held at the Williams Cemetery Nov. 20, 2000. Stewart Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements.

Sue 'Bettie' Seegar

Sue "Bettie" Seegar, 68, of Williams died Nov. 15, 2000 at her home in Red Lake. She was born Nov. 8, 1932 in Luling, Texas, to Joe and Mary Buckingham.

After graduation from high school, Bettie married Byron Seegar. They lived in several places in Texas and settled in Garland, Texas where Bettie worked for the Garland Public Schools as a secretary. The couple retired to Williams in the Red Lake area six years ago.

Survivors include her husband of almost 50 years, Byron; two sons, Joe of Tempe and Ron of Cottonwood as well as three grandchildren and many friends.

Funeral services were held Nov. 18, 2000 at Stewart Chapel in Williams with burial in Williams Cemetery. Stewart Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements.
