Jerry Christian Frye
Jerry Christian Frye, 65, died July 28, 2000 in Phoenix. He was born July 21,1935 in Lancaster County, Pa., the son of Ruth and Cecil Frye.
Mr. Frye spent most of his first 25 years living in Elizabetown, Pa., working as a mason. In the early ’60s, he moved his family to southern California and continued with the construction trade. For the last 32 years he has lived in Arizona. Over the years, Mr. Frye’s accomplishments included building many public and commercial structures, which will remain as a lasting reminder of his talents as a mason. About five years ago, he retired to Williams and spent many of his days driving bus for the school district.
Survivors include a son, Toby Frye of Tucson; a daughter, Tracy Stevens of Menlo Park, Calif.; a sister, Janet Martin of Prescott; and three granddaughters.
Mr. Frye’s wishes were to have no memorial services. He will be buried in a family cemetery plot in Mt. Joy, Pa. In his memory, his children will donate plants to a public garden.
