Free flight safety, game spotting seminar — next weekend
Pilots, non-pilots and hunters are invited to attend a free flight safety and game spotting seminar 9 a.m.-noon Sept. 9 at H.A. Clark Memorial Airport terminal.
Speakers will include Dave Hunt, Arizona Game and Fish, chief pilot, Game and Fish enforcement personnel and Federal Aviation Administration personnel.
Hunt will discuss new state legislation governing wildlife regulations pertaining to using of aircraft. Now hunters are restricted from using aircraft to locate wildlife during any big game hunt or 48 hours prior to the start of hunting season. The legislation also prohibits using aircraft to harass wildlife, such as flying low and spooking a herd.
FAA speakers will give a presentation on flight safety including the perils and responsibilities when flying low and insurance liability as it pertains to FAA certification.
In addition to presentations and videos, there will be question and answer sessions.
Attendance will qualify pilots for the FAA Wings Program.

Labor Day swap meet — 3 days long
The Williams Kiwanis Club is holding a three-day swap meet over Labor Day weekend.
The swap meet is currently being held at the corner of Seventh Street and Railroad Avenue.
The cost of spots are $10 a piece. Participants can get Labor Day free if they pay for Saturday and Sunday.
