Career fair is April 26

Local businesses and organizations are encouraged to participate in the Williams High School Career Fair 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. April 26 in high school gym.

“There will be a wide spectrum of careers represented,” said Terry Warnock, event organizer. “We’ve got everything from the military to fine arts.”

The targeted attendees will be high school juniors and seniors in the morning, from 8:30-noon, and then the fair will be opened up to the adult community members from 1-4:30 p.m.

Participating employers will be offered a space in the high school gym and a worktable. They will be asked to staff the space with persons knowledgeable about the business and the careers represented, provide printed materials for the attendees and to set up displays.

Participants will be encouraged to do demonstrations of any type that relate to the organization and the careers.

Employers will be given the opportunity to talk about their business or organization and gain a valuable potential future work force. Lunch will be provided.

Sponsors of this event include Williams-Grand Canyon Chamber of Commerce, Williams schools, the Coconino County School to Work, the Northern Arizona Rural Trust Cluster and Coconino County Tech Prep.
