WILLIAMS, Ariz. — The deadline to enter the 14th annual Arizona Big Game Super Raffle is still months away, but March 31 is the last day to be eligible to win the “early bird” prize for March — one of five sets of Sitka mountain jackets with matching pants.

For each online order for raffle tickets placed through March 31, a hopeful hunter will receive one chance to win this month’s early bird prize through an incentive drawing conducted by the nonprofit entity, which raises money for wildlife conservation efforts. The more online orders placed, the greater the chances of winning the Sitka products. The incentive drawing will be on or before April 5.

The Arizona Game and Fish Commission annually awards the raffle a total of 10 Special Big Game Tags, one for each of the state’s big game species — bighorn sheep, elk, mule deer, white-tailed deer, pronghorn, bison, turkey, bear, javelina and mountain lion.

Raffle tickets can be ordered online at http://arizonabiggamesuperraffle.com/online-order/. There is no limit on how many raffle tickets can be ordered. The deadline is 10 p.m. July 14.

The names of the winners will be drawn at 6 p.m. July 25 at department headquarters (Quail Room), 5000 W. Carefree Highway, Phoenix.

In the 13-year history of the raffle, almost $6.8 million has been raised for wildlife and wildlife management in Arizona. Last year’s event generated a record $692,590, topping the previous record of $673,600 in 2017.

Every dollar raised for each species through the raffle is returned to the department and managed by the Arizona Habitat Partnership Committee (AHPC) for that particular species. With input from local habitat partners across the state and sponsoring organizations involved in the fundraising, project priorities are determined that will provide the most benefit to each species.
