The Arizona Dept. of Forestry is conducting pile burns west of Williams Jan. 7.

The Arizona Department of Forestry is burning 50 acres of slash piles west of Williams Jan. 7. The piles are leftover from a hazardous fuels treatment intended to decrease wildfire risk to the town of Williams and Bill Williams Mountain. Smoke is likely to be visible in the area and along I-40.
