Obituary: Lula Jeanette Kilbarger
Lula Jeanette Kilbarger, surrounded by family, passed peacefully into heaven on November 29, 2015 in Tucson, Arizona.
Jeanette was born in Abilene, Texas on March 18, 1930. She was the youngest of three daughters born to Alfred Newman and Irma Julia Austin. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Howard Kilbarger, and sister Gladys Livingston.
She is survived by her loving sister, Peggy Spangle of Ft. Worth Texas; Her loving daughters Sidni Newton, Tucson Arizona, Julia (David) Logan, Mesa Arizona., Susan “Cecil” (Paul) Reyes, Tucson Arizona and her sons Patrick (Kathy) Kilbarger, Tucson Arizona, and Bruce (Sarah) Kilbarger, Murfreesboro Tennessee, 13 treasured grandchildren and 26 cherished great grandchildren.
Jeanette’s greatest gift, and our greatest loss, was her unwavering kindness. She brought her light-heartedness into her countless acts of giving and uplifted everyone whose life she touched with birthday cards enclosed with $10.00. She had a flair for music, writing, the ocean, ships and books filled every space. She could spar on any subject which made it a joy to converse with her over coffee or breaking bread. Charles H Kilbarger was the love of her life. He worked for El Paso Natural Gas for 30 years and they moved to Williams in 1979. Her health forced her to move to Tucson Arizona, but not without a fight, she clung on with a white knuckled grip because she loved living in Williams Arizona, surrounded by forest, the four seasons, loving people and everything Williams has to offer. Secret tears still flow for this special lady who will be forever missed.
