Obituary: Frank W. Vasquez

Beloved brother, brother-in-law, father, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather and friend passed away peacefully Sunday, October 9, 2016, surrounded by two of his daughters at the Prescott Veterans Community Living Center Hospice, appropriately named “Hero’s Way,” after losing his final battle to kidney failure.

Frank W. Vasquez was born in Los Angeles on March 1, 1925. He graduated high school in May of 1943 and was ordered to report for induction into the Navy on June 15, 1943.

After serving three years in the Asiatic Pacific, American area, Philippine liberation and receiving the Victory Medal, he was honorably discharged on February 27, 1945.

He then proceeded to start his family. He worked in Santa Monica, CA, for over 25 years ,learning the printing trade with a family-owned company.

After five years in Las Vegas, he and his wife moved to Williams in 1983 to partner in a small printing company with other family members.

He lost his wife of 63 years after she lost her battle with Leukemia February 21, 2010.

Some of his ashes, together with his wife’s, will be spread among the trees and also will be honored at a private ceremony at the National Cemetery in Bellemont, AZ.
