Meatloaf Cook-off and Dinner Oct. 22

Community Christmas organizational meeting Oct. 18

There will be a Community Christmas organizational meeting Oct. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Babitt-Polson stage. This meeting will serve to share the vision for a show/service, outline volunteer positions, hear ideas and discuss a plan of action. They intend to be organized and inclusive. The Williams Elementary-Middle School is hosting their annual Fall Carnival Oct. 27 beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Military Veterans Breakfast Nov. 11

Monday and Thursday Night Football At American Legion

Kiwanis Club of Williams Annual Coat Drive

The Kiwanis Club is hosting its annual coat drive through May 1. Any coat in decent condition will be accepted. Donations are cleaned and turned over to the Food Bank to be distributed. Veteran’s Day Memorial Service Nov. 11

The Williams VFW Auxiliary Post 12128 will be hosting a Veterans Day Memorial Service at 5 p.m. Nov. 11 in Monument Park.

VFW Auxiliary Raffle

The Williams VFW Auxiliary Post 12128 will be hosting its annual raffle from now through Dec. 7. Prizes include a Kitchenaid stand mixer and a collection of linens. Big Buck contest

A Big Buck contest and raffle is open to all units south of Grand Canyon. The hunter to score the widest buck (outside to outside) will win a PSE Brute Force Bow with a full package. The contest ends January 31, 2017 and the drawing for a Ruger American rifle in 22-25 caliber takes place Feb. 1 at the Outdoor Store located at the corner of West Route 66 and Fourth Street.

Holiday Craft Show Nov. 26

Vendors are needed for the 13th annual Holiday Craft Show Nov. 26. This is a fundraiser for SAVE-MTR (Meant to Rescue) Animal Facility here in Williams. Open Gym Thursdays 8th grade and under

Williams School District and the City of Williams are hosting open gym nights for kids up through eighth grade every Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Williams Elementary Middle School. Basektball, volleyball, dodgeball, jumprope and hoola hoop are available. Program runs from Sept. 8 through May 11 while school is in session.

Men’s prayer breakfast

Williams High School Athletics towel drive

The Kiwanis Club of Williams is collecting towels to donate to the high school. Towels may be given to Phillip Echeverria at the high school or Carol Glassburn will pick them up. She can be reached at (928) 635-4503.

Women’s Monthly Prayer Breakfast

The women of Williams are meeting the last Friday of every month for a prayer breakfast. This month’s meeting takes place Sept. 30 at 9 a.m. at the Wild West Junction in Williams.

Community Dinners at the Catholic Church

All our invited to attend the Community Dinners held the first Friday of every month from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church, located at 900 W. The 49th issue of the Williams Lions Club Community Birthday calendar is here. Contact any Lions Club member or calendar chair Denis Kirkley at (928) 635-9366 to get your copy. American Legion Engraved Bricks

The American Legion is selling engraved bricks for the Veterans Memorial in Williams. Each brick will have the serviceman’s name, rank, unit and dates of services engraved. 144 bricks have been purchased and engraved. Applications can be picked up at City Hall or the American Legion or by calling (928) 635-4447.

Big Brothers Big Sisters in Williams needs adults

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flagstaff is once again matching student “littles” with adult “bigs” in Williams. The group meets every Thursday at Williams Elementary-Middle School from 3:45-5:45 p.m. Students are waiting to be matched with an adult. Williams Kiwanis Club seeking food bank donations

SAVE-Meant to Rescue monthly meetings take place the first Wednesday of every month at 5:30 p.m. at Walker Hall, located next to St. John’s Episcopal-Lutheran Church, 202 W. Grant Ave., Williams. All are welcome.
