Williams Little League first organizational meeting Nov. 29
WILLIAMS, Ariz. —Williams Little League is having its first organizational board meeting for the 2017 season Nov. 29 at 6:30 p.m. the Williams Recreation Center.
The group is looking for board members and volunteers for the upcoming season. The meeting will specifically focuses on filling board and administrative positions, but the board hopes to fill positions such as vice-president, treasurer, secretary, player-agent, and t-ball, minor and junior league liaisons for the 2017 season.
Volunteers will also be needed next summer for the cook shack, scorekeeping, fundraising, umpiring, coaching, assistant coaching, equipment and uniforms.
No experience is necessary, and volunteers do not need to have a child in Little League to participate.
The board is hoping parents and supporters from the community will step-up to help spread the duties.
There were over 240 children who participated on 20 teams in the Williams Little League in 2016. Several teams advanced in the District 10 tournament, with girls’ softball taking home the championship title.
Anyone interested in being on the Little League Board or helping with administrative duties is invited to attend the Nov. 29 meeting.
