Obituary: Herbert R. Ham
Herbert R. Ham, 85, passed away Sept. 6, 2015 in Yuma, Arizona. Born Jan. 3, 1930 in Macon County, Missouri, Herbert served in the United States Air Force.
His first job after moving to Arizona in 1957 was as a civil engineer for the Santa Fe Railroad. He retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service at Williams, Arizona.
Herbert was a member of the Immanuel Southern Baptist Church where he served as Deacon. He loved flying and held a pilots license and at one time owned his own plane. Herbert was an avid elk and deer hunter.
Herbert is survived in death by his wife of 62 years, Nancy Ham; son Marvin Ham of Delores, Colorado; daughter Lorri Ham of Yuma, Arizona; sister Pauline Leibhart of Peoria, Illnois; Alice Faye (Harold) Nelson of Macon, Missouri; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.
Herbert was preceded in death by his parents Jess and Louise Ham and daughter Cynthia Ann.
At Herbert's request, there will be no services.
