Holiday Trash Schedule
The City of Williams has announced the holiday trash pick-up schedule. The transfer station will be closed on Dec. 25 and 26, and Jan. 1. Dec. 23 and 30 will be commercial garbage pick-up and north side recycle. Dec. 24 and 31 will be south side recycle.

Youth Basketball Signups
The city of Williams is offering a youth basketball program for elementary age children. Parents can sign up their children at Williams Elementary Middle School for practices and games. More information can be found by calling Johnny Hatcher at (928) 600-0495.
Lions Club Toy Drive
The Williams Lions Club is collecting toys for children in need. Cards are placed on trees at National Bank of Arizona, North Country Health Care and Williams Ranger District. If you would like to purchase a gift, choose a card and return the gift to the same location. Food Drive
The Williams Food Bank is accepting donations for the holiday season. They need canned vegetables, holiday trimmings, toiletries, diapers, laundry detergent and other nonperishable goods. Coat Drive
An annual coat drive takes place Oct. 1 through May 1. Coats can be dropped off at the Williams Realty and the Rec. Center. More information is available from Bud Parenteau at (928) 635-4393.
Kiwanis Pajama Drive
Kiwanis Club is collecting pajamas for children in need in Williams. To donate call Carol Glassburn (928) 635-4503.
Adult Basketball every Wednesday
The city of Williams and the Williams School District are sponsoring adult basketball games Wednesdays from 6-8 p.m. at Williams Elementary-Middle School gym. Basketball skills required. High School ages and older. More information is available from Rose Newbold at (928) 635-1496.
Open Gym on Thursdays
The city of Williams and the Williams School District are sponsoring an open gym for eighth grade and younger at WEMS on Thursdays from 6-9 p.m. when school is in session. Kids can participate in basketball, volleyball, dodgeball and jump roping. More information is available from Rose Newbold at (928) 635-1496.
Big Buck Contest
A Big Buck contest and raffle is open to all units south of Grand Canyon. The hunter to score the widest buck (outside to outside) will win a PSE Surge Bow with full package.
The contest ends Jan. 31, 2016 and the drawing takes place Feb. 1 at The Outdoor Store.

TOPS Chapter 0541
TOPS Chapter 0541 meets Thursdays (there will be no meetings the third Thursday of each month until further notice) at the conference room of the Williams North Country Health Care Center, 301 South Seventh St., Williams. Weigh in is from 5 to 5:30 p.m., the meeting will then take place from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. More information is available from Patty at (928) 699-2122.
Cancer Support Group
The Cancer Support group meets the second Sunday of each month at 1:30 p.m. at the Williams Health Care Center.
Williams High School Athletics Towel Drive
The Kiwanis Club of Williams is collecting towels to donate to the high school. Towels may be given to Phillip Echeverria at the high school or Carol Glassburn will pick them up. She can be reached at (928) 635-4503.
Williams Kiwanis Club seeking food bank donations
The Kiwanis Club is seeking items needed at the food bank. The food bank needs canned vegetables, diapers, laundry detergent, toilet paper, tissues, hand soap, toiletries, peanut butter, canned beans, canned fruit, canned tuna/salmon and cereal.
