Roggenbuck steps in as manager at Williams National Bank of Arizona
WILLIAMS, Ariz. - National Bank of Arizona has announced the appointment of Diana Roggenbuck as Vice President and branch manager of the Williams bank. Roggenbuck worked previously as a business banker for Bank of America in Scottsdale.
Roggenbuck grew up in Alamosa, Colorado and went to school in Gunnison at Western State College. Her first bank job was as a bookkeeper at Gunnison National Bank.
"That was back when we filed checks by looking at them," Roggenbuck said. "There was not an electronic method, we actually filed them in envelopes."
Roggenbuck left Gunnison for Santa Fe, New Mexico where she worked at Santa Fe First National Bank for a short while.
"I was a teller, loan assistant, assistant manager, and branch manager," Roggenbuck said. "I started doing business development which is outside sales on straight commission for a bank in Tucson. Then I moved to Phoenix."
Roggenbuck and her husband, Mark, raised their daughter, Christi, in Scottsdale. While in Scottsdale, they bought a vacation home in Williams.
"We love it here," Roggenbuck said. "Mark loves to hunt and fish and play golf. We used to plan to come up during big storms just so we could get snowed in."
Mark Roggenbuck is a realtor with Platinum Realty of Williams. He began working in Williams few years prior to Roggenbuck being hired as the bank manager.
Roggenbuck said that National Bank was primarily a business bank until it merged with Stockman's Bank. It then became more of a consumer business bank with a focus on small business lending and small business development.
"My background in business banking is a really good fit for National Bank," Roggenbuck said. "Working with small business owners is a big focus."
Roggenbuck still owns a home in Scottsdale but is planning to live full-time in Williams.
"I have a vested interest in Williams growing, and growing in the right way," Roggenbuck said. "I have ownership and feel really connected to people here. I have a wonderful staff with a great deal of experience and seniority with National Bank."
Roggenbuck's duties include supervising a staff of eight and packaging loans. She is typically in the office on Mondays and Fridays, but spends the rest of the week meeting business owners and working with the community. She puts together financial statements and does cash-flow analysis for each loan application.
"My job is to create a clear picture for the underwriter," Roggenbuck said. "They don't know who the person is in Williams or Ash Fork, all they have is papers. I need to draw the picture and make sure everything is in place and there are no questions."
Roggenbuck likes to spend her spare time with Mark hunting and fishing. She also likes golf, photography and painting. In Phoenix, Roggenbuck was the president of their local homeowner's association and volunteered at the Humane Society.
"I hope to be really involved in the community here," Roggenbuck said. "I really love it here. I was doing well in Phoenix but this makes me happy. I'm excited to get up and come to work, to see my friends."
