Williams 911: week of Dec. 31
The Williams Police Department (WPD) answered the following calls for service (among others) -
Officers arrested a woman for vehicle burglaries, criminal damage of a vehicle and theft from a local grocery store. During the arrest, the woman fought with officers and was found to have drug paraphernalia, dangerous drugs (meth) and marijuana on her, she was booked for all charges including aggravated assault on officers.
Officers arrested a man for a valid warrant on Railroad Avenue;
Officers arrested a man for extreme DUI on Grand Canyon Boulevard;
Officers took sexual contact with a child report, the case is under investigation;
Officers investigated a non-injury deer versus vehicle accident on Cataract;
Officers responded to a fight on First Street and Route 66, the people involved would not prosecute;
Officers responded to a report of people on BNSF property, no one was found when officers arrived;
Officers responded to a horse stuck in fencing at the horse stalls, officers helped to get the horse free;
Officers assisted the Department of Public Safety with an elk versus vehicle accident on I-40;
Officers took a report of a possible court order violation on Railroad Avenue;
Officers delivered Christmas presents as part of the Christmas Angel program;
Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle on Grand Canyon Boulevard;
Officers responded to a couple dog calls in the city;
Officers responded to
a drunk woman on Edison Avenue, Lifeline took over;
Officers responded to fireworks on Wells Fargo Avenue;
Officers arrested a man for assault after a domestic call on Fourth Street;
Officers issued a verbal warning and separated the people involved in a disturbance on Homestead Avenue;
Officers responded to an angry customer at a local hotel who's reservation was canceled, officers helped the customer find a hotel room;
Officers responded to a barking dog on Third Street;
Officers arrested a man for an outstanding warrant after responding to an open door at a local gas station's construction site; and
Officers issued nine warnings and 43 citations.
