Williams 911: week of Dec. 18
The Williams Police Department (WPD) answered the following calls for service (among others) -
Officers responded to an alarm on Golden Meadows Ave.;
Officers assisted a citizen with a dead battery on Grant Ave.;
Officers assisted a citizen stuck in a snow bank on Sherman Ave.;
Officers investigated a non-injury accident on Fourth St.;
Officers took a private property accident report at a local hotel;
Officers separated people at a local hotel after responding to a disturbance;
Officers assisted a stranded motorist on Rodeo Road;
Officers investigated a non-injury vehicle versus elk accident on Highway 64 at the Kaibab Lake turn off;
Officers responded to a juvenile issue on Seventh St.;
Officers assisted the Department of Public Safety with a car fire on Interstate 40;
Officers investigated an injury accident on Ninth Street and Grant Ave. Both drivers were juveniles with no licenses and were cited, the vehicles were towed with a mandatory 30-day hold;
Officers responded to an alarm on Route 66 at a local business;
Officers responded to a drunk man attempting to drive from the RV park. Officers arrived and the subject agreed not to drive and he got a room;
Officers assisted postal inspectors with a postal case on Hereford Ave.;
Officers responded to a parking issue on Seventh St.;
Officers arrested a woman for threatening someone with a knife on Fifth St.;
Officers responded to a suspicious man on Edison Ave.;
Officers responded to an alarm on Route 66;
Officers secured an open door on Seventh St.;
Officers took in found property on Route 66;
Officers assisted Lifeline at various locations;
Officers arrested a man for assaulting an officer after they responded to a fight on Third Street and Route 66;
Officers arrested a man for disorderly conduct after a fight on First Street and Route 66;
Officers responded to a large fight in an alley on Third Street and Route 66, several subjects were injured and no one would cooperate or prosecute;
Officers took a report of threats on Route 66;
Officers responded to an alarm on Golden Meadows Trail;.
Officers dealt with a drunk man at Circle K;
Officers dealt with a child custody issue on Franklin Ave.;
Officers responded to a domestic call on Wells Fargo Ave. A verbal warning was issued and the parties were separated;
Officers issued six citations and gave out 14 warnings.
