A wide variety of wine and beer is available at South Rims Wine and Beer Garage.
The tasting room and lounge opened Aug. 10. The building, which was built in the 1950s as a gas station and garage, has an original car lift displaying a 1967 GTO.
Dan and Linda Watt and Kathi Tanamachi own the business, and Randy Puett is the manager.
The tasting room has 12 Arizona craft beers and 20 wines on tap.
"We're trying to stay true to the craft beers and the Arizona wineries and support that effort," Dan Watt said.
South Rims also sells wine by the bottle and beer by the growler, or 64-ounce bottle.
Puett said he hopes people will come to the tasting room and stay for a while.
"We really want people to come in and relax," he said. "That's the atmosphere that we're wanting to incorporate is for it to be a true lounge feel."
The tasting room offers wine and beer flights, which include four samples of wine or beer and a souvenir wine glass.
South Rims also serves small plates, including salads, soups, specialty cheeses and meats and desserts.
Besides the wine and beer, South Rims also has retail items for sale, such as Native American jewelry, pottery, flutes and knives. It also sells products made in Arizona, such as vinegar, olive oil and pasta sauces.
South Rims offers free Wi-Fi, and is available for parties and special events.
South Rims Wine and Beer Garage is at 514 E. Route 66. It is open every day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. More information is available at (928) 635-5902.
