Obituary: Marie Perkins

Marie Perkins passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Valley View Regional Hospital in Ada, Okla. at the age of 77. She was born July 15, 1934 in Webbers Falls, Okla. to Troy Morton and Viola Cavins Morton.

Mrs. Perkins married Wesley Perkins on May 6, 1950 in Lovington, N.M. She attended the Life Community Church in Ada and was a homemaker. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, being a servant, attending church, and being with her family.

Mrs. Perkins is survived by her husband, Wes Perkins, of the home; three sons, James W. Perkins and his wife Lydia of Williams, Johnny Dale Perkins and his wife Doreen of Mt. Juliet, Tenn. and Leland Perkins and his wife Margie of Ada, Okla.; one sister, Deloris Ennis of Lindsay, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Viola Morton.

A viewing will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Williams, 629 W. Grant Ave. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2012 at First Baptist Church.
