St. John's Episcopal-Lutheran Church

God made the heavens and earth. When He was done, He surveyed what He'd done and said, "It was good." Let us be good stewards of our world and keep it "good."

Sunday, Nov. 20 will be a vestry meeting and potluck at noon.

The Christmas Shoe Box Project is going well. Call Bonnie Dent to see how you can help. All the boxes need to be ready for mailing on Nov. 21.

A reminder to all - Advent concerts will begin at 4 p.m. Nov. 30. Please invite friends and neighbors.

Community United Methodist Church

Veterans were honored during worship service Sunday.Pastor Billy's message was titled "Veterans of the Lord's Army." The Christian Community Thanksgiving Dinner was well represented by many churches from the community. The food and music were great.

Advent is fast approaching. The first Sunday of Advent is Nov. 27. The Advent wreath will be set up for worship and anyone wishing to help decorate the sanctuary is asked to stay after worship on Nov. 27. We can all work together to decorate our church home.

Recharge is tonight with soup/salad dinner at 6 p.m. and the study (from the Book of John) will begin at 7 p.m. There will be no bell practice on Nov. 18 or Nov. 25. The bell choir is planning a performance on Dec. 18.

Weekly fellowship opportunities include -

• Monday - 6:30 p.m. Cub Scout meeting.

• Tuesday - 1 p.m. Not-Sew-Perfect Quilters.

• Wednesday - 6 p.m. soup/salad dinner; and 7 p.m. Recharge from the Book of John.

• Sunday - 8:30 a.m. discipleship/membership class; 8:45 a.m. adult Sunday school; 9:50 a.m. prayer time before worship; 10 a.m. Worship/Young Disciples Church; and 11:30 a.m. fellowship.

Family Harvest Church

Pastor Tim Milner and David Gutshall invite you and your family to be our guest every week. We have something for the whole family. We are a Christ centered church. • Saturday, Nov. 5 at 9 a.m., men's breakfast.

St. Joseph Catholic Church

An arts and crafts fair will be held 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 3 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The cost to rent a table is $15. To reserve a table, call Helen Gorney at 635-4387.

Canyon Chapel Foursquare

First Baptist Church

We are a Christ-centered church that loves the Lord and His people. We praise the Lord with an exciting mix of music and preaching. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
